When should the first application of fertilizer be applied

As the ground warms, the grass will green up and the weed seeds will start to germinate.  The goal with the first treatment is to have it down when the ground temps. reach 55 degrees.  Every year is different and until the weather warms up, the ground temps. will stay cold.

With that being said, applying the first treatment before the end of April has always been the best course of action.
