As of the date this is written, Macomb Township's water pressure is unusually low. A current reading of the water pressure was anywhere between 42 PSI and 50 PSI in the middle of the day in the 2nd week of June 2017. Most sprinkler systems are/were designed when the PSI was around 60 PSI as Macomb's pressure has been historically around that number.
The low pressure is most likely due to the large number of homes and businesses going up around Macomb which is drawing on the system. If the pipes or boosters have not been upgraded to accommodate the number of water consumers, then the system's pressure will remain low.
What can you do?
1. Do not run your sprinklers at the same time as anything else in the house.
2. Water at times when pressure seems to be highest
